1. Have students write a brief description of themselves (about a handwritten page) and bring in photos of themselves.
2. Give each student a disk so they can save their work on it (double density disks don’t cost much if bought in bulk).
3. Show one/two students what you want the rest of the group to do a few days ahead of time, then have them work with small groups.
4. Don’t even touch HyperStudio until students have all typed their personal descriptions and their research summaries.
5. Use the “Get File” option in the add ing text item window. Show the whole group how to do it with your own information then get your assistants to do it.
6. Have your students work in groups of eight on a particular theme, as each of them covers a different aspect of that theme.
